Men eg fekk brått litt for lite tid…
Kvelden etter konfirmasjonen fekk eg gjort feridg teppet.
Dette vart ny rekord i teppelaging for min del. Start 6. april – ferdig 20. mai!
4,5 mm krok, 1250 gram Karisma.

Another gift made. For my nephew this time. I decided that an isometric afghan would be a perfect gift. Started crocheting April 6, and finished it this weekend. A new record in afghan making for me!
I've seen several afghans like this around. One version at Pescno here (in Danish), another version at Le blog Purple.
They are crocheted in single crochet. I didn't have much time for this so I decided to make my own version using double crochet (dc = larger rhombus = finish quicker).
I got quite good at making these in the end. Had to time myself
The rhombuses are sewn together using the long tails in the beginning and end of each rhombus. I'll write down a pattern and post it later.
Kjempestilig teppe! Flott arbeid:)
SvarSlettDet var så stilig!
SvarSlettFrister jammen å hekle et selv :)
Litt av en innsats, bra jobba!

Så kult! Likte det veldig godt: )
SvarSlettSolveig, this is a great design! I love the graphic clarity and think that your color choices are perfect. I could imagine it looking totally different by changing the colorways and sizes of the "cubes."
SvarSlettThank you for planting another crochet notion in my head. xo
Really great !!! I love it !!!!
SvarSlettGreetings from Germany

SvarSlettARGGGHHHHHH!!!!! I love this!!! Its fantastic!! I love love love your blog, but this pattern just looks amazing and I have been mulling over making something very similar just recently. I am hoping to combine Orange, cream/taupe/light grey and darker grey. You blanket looks sublime. Congrats on it. Fingers crossed for the pattern real soon. Thanks for sharing.
SvarSletthi, great work! i start this project as well a month ago (with single crochets) and gave up, as i created rhombi which differed a lot...i don´t know, what i did wrong. so i would very much appreciate a detailed crocheting pattern!
SvarSlettGreat Solveig, I'm so glad you can use my pattern in return (after letting me use yours). Your cover is gorgeous, I love your colours... What a nice present!
SvarSlettBeautiful! I can't wait to see your pattern in print. Thanks
SvarSlettBeautiful!! I can't wait to see your pattern in print. Thanks
SvarSlettIt is just fantastic. I have only seen this pattern in a quilt and it is called tumbling blocks. Well done
SvarSlettI really like this crochet afgan! colours are like a summer breeze and the geometric effect is just amazing. love it!
SvarSlettDet ser virkelig flot ud i blå!
How did you join the motifs together? Did you use cotton thread and a sewing needle? or did you slip stitch with the yarn? Cheers!
SvarSlettI used a sewing needle and the long start and end tails made when crocheting. See the tutorial for more information.
SlettI have downloaded the pattern but could see the instructions for that part. But thanks for letting me know!
